Summary: Max is not like most of the citizens who inhabit his immortal paradise. Not only do he and one other person run the technology that sustains their society, Max also starts to see through aspects of their utopia and is troubled by what is revealed. A mysterious woman shows up to remind him of the long-forgotten past, and Max realizes he’s living in a nightmare he created. He wants to leave, but his only option is a world that may not even exist outside the utopia.
