Summary: In 1769, William Mitchell is an orchard farmer in a time when neighbors become enemies. He becomes a minuteman in the Massachusetts militia and responds to the alarm at Lexington, which takes him into battle at Bunker Hill, Saratoga, Monmouth and Rhode Island. He starts out as a loyal Patriot defending his home and ends up as a representative for Massachusetts during the ratification of the US Constitution.
